what happens on a typical race day at rider hill?
At 7am the Registration booth opens and people begin renting transponders for their races and last minute registrations are processed. We take cash, checks, and credit cards ($3 fee for credit cards) payments.
At 8:45am there's a mandatory Rider's Meeting.
At 9:00am registration closes and Practice begins. Race schedules will be presented after the closing of registration. Practices are run by bike/quad size and each practice is 2 laps.
As soon as the last practice is run (around 10am) racing begins. We run a complete set of races (Moto 1) in the morning. This is usually 14-20 races. Then we break for lunch.
Our food vendor, Kingdom Eatery, make some high quality breakfast sandwiches in the morning and offer a variety of hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. at lunch time. They do accept cash or card.
After lunch, all the races run again (Moto 2). The two motos combine to make the final standings for the day. As soon as the second moto for a class is over, trophies become available at the registration booth 30 minutes after posting.
During the day, results are posted on the bulletin board outside the registration booth. In addition, during a race you can follow the race data (lap times and rider positions) on a TV that is set up by the registration booth as well as online through the app Speedhive.
At the end of the day, all results and series points standings are are posted on on our website.

does your track have safety officials?
Our track offers Ambulance services during all scheduled events. Racing is not permitted without an ambulance service representative actively stationed on the track. Anyone who wishes to use ambulance services after an accident on or off the track is allowed during scheduled events. If you have suffered an accident off the track please request ambulance services through a track official. If the event arises that ambulance services must transport a rider to the nearest hospital there may be a brief delay while a replacement is in route.
Do you allow pit bikes?
Pit bikes are allowed to be ridden in the pit area only during scheduled event hours. Anyone 18+ who leaves the property on a pit bike will be asked to park the bike, if the rider does not listen they will be asked to leave the property. Helmets are required by anyone under the age of 18 anytime they are on a bike/quad. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign them up for a pit bike pass before being permitted to ride a pit bike at the track. Passes are available for purchase at the office for $20. Each passholder will be given a paper clearly stating the rules of conduct. Each pass will be per rider, each rider will be permitted a colored band to place on the handle bars of their bike. In the event that a pass rider is asked to park the bike for the night they will be given only one warning. If the pass rider is asked a second time they will not be permitted to race at this scheduled event. Each pass rider will be permitted three warnings throughout the season before their pass is revoked. If a pass rider leaves the property at any point the pass will be immediately revoked for the season. Pit bikes are a privilege and breaking these rules will not be tolerated.
Other questions...
what do i need to know if my child wants to race?
Kids can start racing dirtbikes and/or quads when they are 5 years old. All children under 18 years of age MUST have an adult at the race track with them (both for practices days and race days). If a parent or legal guardian isn't with them, they can bring a Guardian Appointment Form. This form MUST be filled out BEFORE coming up to the track as it MUST be notarized by a certified Notary Public. (Most Town Halls have a Notary on staff who can notarize documents.) They must also bring a signed copy of our Minor Release Form.
